Drift Sees Things Differently

Drift Eyewear designs high-quality, handcrafted wooden eyeglasses through truly innovative and eco-conscious techniques. Local Chicagoan, Chris Mantz, built his first pair with an old skateboard and a dremel – his idea for designing eco-friendly eye-catching eyewear was born. Now, his growing company is selling glasses to optometrists and eyewear boutiques all over the globe.
The wood used in his designs, including Wenge, Bamboo, Walnut and Maple, is sourced from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Certified suppliers. They use only VOC-free epoxy and coating and even their travel pouches are made of 100% organic cotton/linen. You wouldn't assume so, but the frames are waterproof, UV proof and even flexible, super strong and balanced through the use of PressureFLEX Technology.
You can get your own Drift glasses prescribed and fitted just for you locally at ID Chicago on Halsted and Labrabbit Optics on Ashland.
