Stained Glass Gone Wild

Stained Glass Gone Wild

After coming into an endless supply of old, unused stained glass pieces from her "Poppie", a master artist of stained glass, Melissa Mercer had a creative twist on what she could do to reuse this glass – and Poppie Glass jewelry was born! By fusing multiple pieces of glass together, unique shapes and color combinations are formed. She then adds upcycled wires and other cute charms and designs to create custom glass necklaces that are each individually unique and handmade. Her designs range from simple and clean using one piece of glass and a wire to wild and fun using multiple glass colors and unique charms like a mermaid or an octopus.

Poppie Glass is currently available at local farmer's markets and festivals. You can also email her at poppieglass@yahoo.com for a custom order or if something catches your eye on her Facebook page.

Our goal is to provide locals with healthy, earth-friendly content in a fresh and simple way. We’ll do the research for you and share all the local “green” info we can find, including: restaurants, products & technology, local shopping, fun events, great ways to give, quick tips and more. We understand that it’s practically impossible to live in a modern society and not leave an environmental impact, but we believe that we can all change something to make it better. Let us be your resource for a more nourishing relationship with your mind, body and earth – even if it’s only a little bit at a time!
